Thanks for taking the time to view the site and reel of Steve Munro. I am an experienced Cinematographer, Camera Operator and internationally accredited Underwater & Marine Camera Operator. My extensive list of local & international credits spans most genres, including feature films, short films, commercials, documentary, television (including reality, observational factual, current affairs and studio multi-cam), theatrical projection, live coverage and underwater cinematography.
My flexible and versatile approach allows me to have knowledge of, and experience with, a variety of camera formats and systems such as RED, CANON, SONY (DigiBeta, EX, Cinealta, and XDCam), Panasonic P2, HDSLR (EOS) underwater and aerial systems (FLIR and side-mounted operator). I am a full member of the Australian Cinematographers Society and the Secretary for the NSW branch; I hold professional accreditation and voting rights with the Australian Film Institute (AFI/AACTA) for which I am an awards juror. Further professional qualifications include accreditation by the health and safety executive (H.S.E. UK) as a professional media diver which allows me to dive at depth worldwide. My home is inner-west Sydney, I’m willing and able to travel throughout Australasia and the rest of the world for any length of time, and I have full working rights for Europe.
